Give Rugby a Try!
A fun game-based introduction to rugby, giving students a basic understanding of the teamwork, rugby values, basic vocabulary, game knowledge and skills required to play flag rugby. Our coach delivers or works with your on site teacher to co-coach the students, using our Give Rugby a Try curriculum. Suitable for after-school programs, sports clubs, or PE classes with manageable size.
Recommended student numbers: 15-20
During the Give Rugby a Try program students will:
- Acquire basic understanding of rules and game terminology through fun rugby themed games
- Develop a basic understanding of core values of the game
- Develop new skill set through exploring themes such as passing, receiving, evasion, defending,
space & support.
- Develop improved active listening and sequencing skills
- Experience a high level of teamwork including leadership and commitment

Team: Rugby
A team-building curriculum, building on the basics learnt during the Give Rugby a Try program. Students under going Team Rugby coaching will lead to increased skill acquisition, teamwork, game knowledge and reinforcement of life skills required to play rugby.
During the Team Rugby program, students will:
- Develop in depth understanding of the rules and game terminology as it relates to non contact rugby through playing fun games and exploring new skills and strategies
- Develop and strengthen their commitment to the core values of the game
- Progress toward accomplished skill execution through skill-based games and competition
- Experience heightened listening skills and sequencing skills
- Prepare as a team for culminating events and tournaments

Fun Team Fitness
A fun fitness based curriculum designed to engage and educate students in healthy lifestyle activities. Students will learn about and participate in different fitness activities from low impact aerobic conditioning to sports specific agility and acceleration drills. To complement the curriculum a comprehensive nutrition section is included, designed to increase student’s awareness on how correct eating habits can positively affect their day to day lives. Interactive worksheets and games further involve the students to enhance their learning potential.

USA Rugby & Play Rugby PE Curriculum
In partnership with USA Rugby, Play Rugby USA formed a group of Physical Education experts to design a free non contact rugby curriculum for experienced physical educators. The curriculum focuses on the teaching model of Teaching Games for Understanding using this model as an effective tool for delivering rugby concepts such as creating space, preserving space, running to space, for instance.
